Karen Connelly, a former Controller for oilheat and gas company Worley & Obetz, pled guilty to felony bank fraud charges, according to CBS 21 Local News in Lancaster County, PA. Connelly, along with former Controller Judith Avilez and former CEO Jeffrey Lyons, were charged for their roles in reportedly defrauding Fulton Bank.

Northern Lancaster County Regional Police assert in 2018, Worley & Obetz funds were used to pay more than $1 million of Lyons’ credit card debt, and that Connelly authorized most of the payments. Avilez allegedly generated false Worley & Obetz financial statements. Connelly will be sentenced in February.
