UGI Corp. elects directors, sets board succession plan

UGI Corp. has elected William Marrazzo and K. Richard Turner to serve as Directors of UGI Corp. and its wholly-owned subsidiary UGI Utilities Inc. Both Marrazzo and Turner served as Directors of AmeriGas Propane Inc., a subsidiary of AmeriGas Partners, until the company’s acquisition by UGI in August.
Marrazzo is CEO & President of WHYY Inc., and previously served as CEO & President of Roy F. Weston Inc., Water Commissioner for the Philadelphia Water Department and Managing Director for the City of Philadelphia. Marrazzo has also been as a Board Member of American Water Works Co. Inc. and Director of Woodard & Curran.
Turner is Managing Director of Altos Partners. Prior, he retired as Senior Managing Director of the Stephens Group LLC. Turner previously served as a Board Member of the general partner of Energy Transfer Equity LP, Sunoco LP, Energy Transfer Partners LP, Laney Directional Drilling LLC and North American Energy Partners Inc.
Marvin Schlanger plans to retire as Chairman of the Board of UGI in January 2021. Frank Hermance has been nominated to succeed Schlanger as Chairman. Schlanger has agreed to serve as Vice Chairman during this transition.
Hermance is a retired Chairman & CEO of AMETEK Inc. and a previous Director of UGI, UGI Utilities Inc. and AmeriGas Propane Inc. Hermance is also a Director Emeritus of the Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies, Vice Chairman of the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia and an Advisory Board Member of American Securities LLP.
