Tremcar USA recently completed construction of its new manufacturing facility in Strasburg, OH. Operational since October 2023, the extra 20,000 sq. ft. of space is devoted to the production of aluminum DOT 406 tank trailers. With the new facility, Tremcar’s production capacity has more than doubled with an even bigger increase expected in 2024, said the company.

“Established in 1998 in the United States and since 2004 in Ohio, it was time we invested in renovating our installations to meet greater demands from our customers in the U.S.,” said Tremcar President Daniel Tremblay.

The new plant includes three new production lines. Dave Brooks, GM at Tremcar USA, said that the $4 million investment was a necessity.

“Production has definitely gone up, our employees are well established, they mastered the craft of building quality tanks, and the extra space is definitely the peak in achieving production efficiency.”

Process improvement and safety were key considerations in the new installation, which includes new barrel rotators, fixtures, toolboxes, and more, Tremblay added.

We now offer a safer working environment with top-of-the-line technology helping our employees to work smarter not harder.”

Tremcar also is planning to expand its U.S. service facility, which opened in 2018 and is located near the new manufacturing plant, with a $1.5 million investment to add two additional bays to the eight-bay building. The extra 5,000 sq. ft. is expected to be functional by the end of this year.
