Taco Comfort Solutions now offers the flow-through expansion tank, designed to help reduce the environmental conditions that help Legionella and other bacteria to flourish in domestic hot water systems. With standard tank volumes ranging from 23 to 528 gallons, the flow-through expansion tank provides precise flow channeling through a patent-pending head design, said the company.
Constructed, tested and certified to ASME Section VIII Div. 1, the flow-through expansion tank minimizes pressure loss, discourages short-cycling and is retrofittable to meet ASHRAE Standard 188 on existing designs. Standard working pressure is 125 PSI with options for 150 PSI and higher. The tank is NSF/ANSI 61-G certified and is available with a sight glass for failure detection.
