States able to extend expiring CDLs through July 31

Starting April 2, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) gave States the ability to extend expiring commercial driver’s license (CDL) for hazardous material endorsements (HME) for up to four months to prevent the interruption of needed services during the current COVID-19 crisis.
This exemption remains in effect through July 31, unless otherwise modified by TSA. Each State must issue its own waiver for the automatic extension to become effective within the State.
