NORA to hold Accredited Instructor Class in June

Written on: April 2, 2026 by ICM

NORA will hold its next Accredited Instructor Program (AIP) workshop from June 23-25 at the NORA Liquid Fuel Research & Education Center in Plainview, NY.

The AIP was developed to strengthen technical education by preparing experienced teachers to become certified instructors. The program provides advanced training in instructional methods, technical content and classroom management so that educators can effectively teach the next generation of heating technicians.

The program begins with a prepared presentation by each of the participants. These are evaluated by the instructor, as well as others in the class, to establish a baseline. From there, the participants are taken through the teaching process to elevate their lessons from simply conveying facts to creating a meaningful total-learning experience for the students. The NORA Accredited Instructor program’s emphasis is to present the curriculum in such a way that students “own” the information and not just hear it.

The $599 AIP Fee includes:

  • Three-day, hands-on workshop
  • Course materials
  • Small group setting, not more than 10 participants
  • Trainer/facilitator is Brenda Huber
  • Hotel, breakfast, lunch and one NORA-hosted dinner
  • NORA Swag
