NEFI Welcomes New Chair, Board and Officers

The National Energy & Fuels Institute (NEFI) formally elected the Association’s Chairperson, Board of Directors and Officers at the Annual Member Meeting held on June 18. New Trustees for the NEFI Education Foundation, Inc. (EFI) were also elected.  EFI’s officers will be voted on at a later date.

Joining President & CEO James Collura, NEFI’s new officers for the 2026-2028 term are:

• Chairperson of the Board: Steve Walsh (Davis Oil Co.),
• Vice Chairperson of the Board: Anthony Silecchia (Star Group L.P.)
• Treasurer: Marty Kirshner (Gray, Gray & Gray, LLP)
• Secretary: Catherine Erasmus (Taylor Energy)
• Immediate Past Chairperson: Ted Noonan (Noonan Energy Corp.)

In accepting the position, new Chairperson Steve Walsh said, “Most every person on this Board is running a demanding, fast-paced  business back home.

“They are managing employees, serving customers, navigating an industry in transition—and yet they volunteer their time, their energy, and their expertise to strengthen NEFI as a whole. That kind of commitment is rare…and it is exactly why I am proud to lead this organization.”
