According to The Irish Times, Irish listed conglomerate DCC has purchased United Propane Gas (UPG), a Paducah, KY-based maker of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) market in the U.S., for $145 million, which includes a recent smaller acquisition completed in Colorado. UPG markets, sells and delivers LPG and related products and services to residential, agricultural and commercial customers in 13 Midwest and Southern states, with a strong presence in Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama.
DCC first entered the U.S. market in 2018. This acquisition follows DCC’s September 2020 acquisition of the NES Group, a Brooklyn-based marketer, seller and deliverer of propane and other related products and services to residential and commercial customers in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
