Free NORA Fuel Testing Service Available

As the heating season approaches, consistent fuel quality is essential for heating systems to run reliably and efficiently. To help ensure your customers’ fuel is up to the task, NORA offers fuel quality testing at its Liquid Heating Fuels Chemistry Lab in Plainview, NY.

If you encounter a problem that you cannot find the solution for, NORA can provide free testing of the fuel to help identify the root cause. With the ability to test for water, biodiesel content, oxidative reserve, acid number and filterable particles, NORA’s customized report will show the possible source of the fuel related service problem and NORA’s included recommendations for remediation will provide a path to improved fuel quality. 

When you send your samples, please include: 

• One quart of fuel from the bleeder in a new, clean container (paint can type is best; NORA can provide if requested) 
• Fuel unit 
• A sample from the tank bottom: Optional, but may aid in problem solving. 
• If two samples are sent, be sure to identify each (bleeder or bottom)
