Eastern Energy Expo to proceed as planned

Written on: March 6, 2020 by ICM

In response to the uncertainty and increased concern associated with the coronavirus, the Eastern Energy Expo (EEE) issued a statement assuring vendors and attendees that the 2020 event scheduled for May 17-20 at Mohegan Sun, Uncasville, CT, is still moving forward as planned. The Expo’s statement said the event’s management will take its direction from global, federal and local health officials, including the WHO and CDC, which do not have travel notices or restrictions on public gatherings for the continental US.
A spokesperson for EEE  said,  “It is our goal to create a healthy and safe environment where our vendors and guests can conduct business, network and strengthen relationships.”
Mohegan Sun President and General Manager Jeff Hamilton stated they are “…taking this matter seriously and taking every precaution. The number one priority is always the safety of all guests. The Mohegan Tribal Health Department will continue to work directly with the appropriate agencies, such as the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) and the CDC, staying up-to-date on this emerging issue.”
EEE will communicate updates to the industry as the need arises.
