Del Mar College is working on a new program that will help hurricane victims and give some of it’s students some valuable hands-on training.
Instructors with the air conditioning and building maintenance program on the West campus are reaching out to city officials in places like Rockport, Port Aransas and Aransas Pass. They’re asking for appliances that were damaged by Harvey. The plan is to haul them over to the Del Mar College West campus where students will fix them.
Details of the repair program are still being worked out but they hope to get it going as soon as possible.
