Connecticut company Sippin Energy Products celebrates 100 years

Written on: November 18, 2019 by ICM

Sippin Energy Products is now the oldest surviving business in Monroe, CT. The 100-year-old company has grown to include propane, clean burning biofuels and a wide variety of HVAC products and services.
Founded by Russian immigrant Irving Sippin in 1919, the company is now run by third and fourth generation family members. Brothers David, Gary and Mark run the company, which has evolved from selling coal to kerosene to heating fuel to biofuel, and now propane. Evolution, said Gary Sippin, is at the core of a successful family business.
