Charlotte HVAC company ARS to donate unit to community hero

American Residential Services (ARS) Rescue Rooter in Charlotte, NC, has opened nominations for its annual HVAC/water heater giveaway for a deserving individual who has gone above and beyond to help, heal, inspire or educate others. “These hardworking, everyday heroes deserve our admiration and appreciation,” ARS said on its website.

ARS wants to honor community heroes and believes no one should have to suffer without heat during freezing winter months or without A/C during a scorching summer.

ARS is aware that some members of the community find themselves in a situation where fixing or replacing an HVAC system or water heater would mean going without food and other basic necessities for their families. As a result, repairs are put off, systems stop working and they are forced to endure extreme cold and hot temperatures in their homes.

In 2021, ARS/Rescue Rooter and its network of brands provided HVAC systems and water heaters to veterans and active military in appreciation for their service. This year, a panel of judges will select a winner based on the information included in the nomination form describing why the nominee should be considered and other factors. The grand prize winner will receive either one new HVAC or one new water heating unit at his/her residence, valued at $9,500 or $2,600, respectively.

The deadline for nominations is Nov. 11. Recipients will be announced the week of Nov. 28. Visit: https://www.ars.com/ars-cares
