Carolina Fuels acquires NC oil company

Carolina Fuels, a division of Berico Fuels, is merging with Kallam Oil Company, a supplier of heating oil, propane and commercial fuels in Madison.

The merger with Kallam Oil is the fifth acquisition for Berico, which is based in Greensboro, since January 2016. The company has sought expand its customer base and geographical service area through such acquisitions.

“Berico is actively looking for opportunities that will help us grow and provide customers with the best services possible,” said owner Will Berry.

Berico supplies residential and commercial fuels, along with heating and air conditioning services in the Triad. The Carolina Fuels division provides residential and commercial fuel, propane and HVAC services to customers in Rockingham County and surrounding areas.

Berico’s most recent acquisition was that of Pickard Fuel Co., a diesel fuel and home-heating supplier in Randleman. The company also merged with Mitchell Heating & Air Conditioning in Greensboro and Willis & Willis Heating & Air in Reidsville.
