Berks-Schuylkill Oil Heat Association donates $5k to Salvation Army

The Berks-Schuylkill Oil Heat Association (BSOHA) recently donated $5,000 to both the Berks and Schuylkill County Salvation Army. Each Corps received half of the total donation. Since 2006, the BSOHA’s annual charitable donation has directly helped the heating needs of local residents to a total contribution of $75,000.
Envoy Brad Harris of the Pottsville Corps of The Salvation Army accepted the presentation from BSOHA President Kevin Steele, H.B. Steele & Son, Inc., and BSOHA Secretary/Treasurer, Chris Crooks, Talley Petroleum.

“We are very pleased to make this donation to the Salvation Army after everything that has gone on this past year,” stated Kevin Steele President of BSOHA. “With the ongoing pandemic and people losing their jobs, I could not think of a better way to help people. To reach $75,000 in donations for our local association is truly remarkable.”
Donations for the annual fundraiser were received from the following member companies of BSOHA: Angus Energy, R.W. Beckett Corp., Boston Environmental, Buckeye Energy Services, F.M. Brown’s Sons Inc., H.B. Steele & Son Inc., Hafer Petroleum, Jack Rich Inc., Lucknow-Highspire Terminals, LLC, Pennsylvania Petroleum Association, Santilli Oil Co. Inc., Talley Petroleum Enterprises and Woosnam Consulting.
BSHOA promotes and educates current and prospective heating oil customers as to the benefits of oil heat and to support local oil companies, providing a wide range of products and services to enhance customer satisfaction.
