Acumatica acquires Vertrax

Acumatica, a provider of cloud enterprise resource planning software, has acquired Vertrax, a longtime partner that develops specialized software for the fuel and energy distribution industry.

Vertrax will operate as a business unit under its current name. The acquisition enhances Acumatica’s ability to serve fuel marketers, propane distributors, lubricants businesses, convenience retailers, and other energy companies.

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems connect a company’s core functions, such as accounting, inventory, customer accounts, delivery scheduling, dispatch, pricing, invoicing, and reporting, into a single platform. This integration eliminates redundant data entry by allowing information to flow seamlessly from customer orders through delivery, billing, and financial reporting.

The acquisition closed on July 2 and adds more than 40 Vertrax employees to Acumatica. Vertrax confirmed that its products, services, customer relationships, pricing, contracts, and ongoing projects will continue without interruption.
